"Ebola gives U.S. 'preppers' another reason to prepare for worst"

After reading through it, I notice the "journalist" was careful to pick and choose what part of the interview or gathered information to use - you know - to perpetuate the misguided notion of preppers being loons. And the media use the term pepper in a negative light.
Then I thought, you know, here in California the gov., impresses upon everyone to be "prepared" for the big quake, we even have the big shake out, where you practice what to do for when the event happens, have enough water, bleach, backpacks at home and in car, food, money, medications and be "prepared" for no services for at least three day (that is a joke). They even have pamphlets and a website set up showing everyone how to be "prepared".
So what is it that makes a prepper different from someone doing what the government tells you to do - they are telling people to do the exact same thing, telling people to practice so they are ready, the only difference the amount of days people are able to last after any event.
The media is a twisted joke. This state and many other states/cities have a hard time running on a good day, much less being able to - come take care of people - after a disaster.
Prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.
