On some forum (cannot remember which) I heard it explained that during either the 70's or 80's a mass print run of some high school text book wrongly plotted NZ on maps. The book apparently went nation wide before anybody noticed and it was decided to let it go because of the time, hassle and expense of re-printing and correcting it. It was also discussed that it was unknown how many other text books sold outside of America based theirs on this book and wrongfully plot NZ. To me NZ is where it has always been. |
