Sherrigirl2012 User ID: 63734027 United States 10/24/2014 12:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is so frustrating. Apparently we cannot depend on these healthcare workers and other aide workers coming back from Liberia and New Guinea (sp?) to take measures to protect the public from themselves such as self quarantining after returning to the States. You have to stop to think how many of these people there are. Hundreds perhaps...or even more because our military went over there with a few thousand. They should make mandatory quarantine for everyone that returns from Africa period....no matter who it is! This physician clearly had to have known he was in trouble before he was sent to the hospital. How careless and selfish. It just negates practically everything he did to help patients in Africa. That sounds harsh, I know, but the blame isn't totally on the physician. They should set up a motel or somewhere safe these people can go to self-quarantine if they cannot do it at home. It should be mandatory and not expect people to just do it. We do not have a safe system yet for handling Ebola. I just hope they can get their shit together before it is too late....I don't agree with Fox's Megan when she says it cannot be gotten from grabbing a door handle after the man. I totally disagree because he could have sneezed, coughed, picked his nose, picked his ass, straightened out his manhood before grabbing that door handle. Ebola stays alive on dry surfaces at least for hours if not many days. Different studies say different things. The least that I have seen is that the virus stays alive, on dry surfaces for up to 7 hours after. We have the capacity here to take care of this properly. Why aren't these issues being thought of ahead of time. Sorry for ranting and ranting, but my gosh, enough is enough. No one else has caught ebola from anyone yet that we know of (?), but I don't think it will be long before that changes... What about the guy; the reporter who they just let go home the other day?? Ebola stays alive in the sperm for 7 weeks! Ahhh...it's okay Mr. Reporter guy....just make sure you don't ejaculate AT ALL for the next 7 weeks. I'm not a dude, but I know that cannot be possible...men have wet dreams in their sleep and this guy has a girlfriend. I want to run for the hills....lol. People nowadays lack the patient, responsibility and care. Just like the News reporter who broke curfew. You can sense these people are not taking it seriously. |

Actually NY like London has a reputation for being a location where the cities residents are vile aggressive uncharitable and willing to sell their grandmother for their next meal.. Horrible to think of all these people dying but just to put the record straight people from NY do not have a great reputation. Texans and people from Seattle and Boston have the best reputation overseas. Even NY accents are enough for people to start leaving the room (p.s I' not French) |
