TPTB
Every time I see "TPTB" or "PTB" in a post, this is the image that I see:

A 60-something woman in a moo-moo with her hair up in pink curlers, sitting on a plastic-covered easy chair, with a lit unfiltered menthol smoke with about an inch of ash, and a big gulp-sized tumbler of Jack and Fresca on a side table. The ash tray is one of those ceramic ones with the built-in cigarette holders. It's around 9:30 AM.

When she says "The Powers That Be", she drags on the smoke and squints at you, pointing her cig right at you.

Oh and a cat or a few cats all meowing when she says that.

Anyway, thats's how I envision it.

Agreed.
It's getting to the point where I'm no fun anymore.

I am sorry.

Re: TPTB
Cool, thought it was only me.

My mind wanders quite a bit, too -- sometimes I see those thin wrinkles around her mouth from dragging on a smoke, partially covered by a thin stache, lots of angel figurines on a bookcase behind her, a weird smell of burnt eggs and Febreeze and cig, some stains on the carpet that she tried to get out with bleach, shit like that. Oh and the voice -- real raspy. And after she says "The Powers That Be", whenever the sentence ends, she coughs and it sounds ... bizarre. Then takes a swig from the big-gulp and says something like "gotta wet the whistle" then laughs and coughs at the same time ... THEN, gets real serious again
