Yeah, because that would be so much more cost effective than simply putting a female connector on each unit INSTEAD OF A FREAKIN FAUCET.

im guessing he has a reason for needing the valve. not sure what type of "backflow mechanism he has set up though. do you?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say you might be the man in the video. Either that, or a complete moron. Hard to say really.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64512607

maybe he has a backflow preventer like this? two female ends? who knows? my point is... the spigot has nothing to do with whether or not the generator functions as advertised.

Well then, if you are not the guy in the video then I strongly suggest you go order one of these "generators" right now. If that's what it's going to take to convince you of something that is so painfully obvious to anyone with just half a brain then buy one and come back and report your findings.

This car uses a electrolyte flow cell power system that is newly certified for use on Europe's roads. They call it, the Quant e-Sportlimousine, made its debut in the 2014 Geneva motor show. Not only does it run on salt water, which is freakin' incredible in and of itself, but it's said to be able to top 217 miles per hour.

how long can you run a vacuum cleaner like in the video? sure you can run it for a few seconds. is there a video of a vacuum cleaner running for an hour? i bet you could run a vacuum cleaner for an hour off that noisy old diesel generator.

With two batteries, you would have about 200 amp hours of available.

A shop vac like that would draw about 10 amps at 120 volts which would be 1200 watts.

At 12 volts (the battery voltage) this would mean there would be a draw of 100 amps from the inverter on the batteries.

So with a draw of 100 amps on a 200 a/hr bank, theoretically you would be able to run it for two hours.

In reality, at that high a draw, the voltage would drop below the limits of the inverter in about an hour.

 Quoting: R. Wordsworth

Yeah but the 5000 watt version could probably run 20 shop vacs for 200 hours.

wonder how often you have to replace the batteries? they won't like being over-drained. unless all those electronic doodads and gizmos stop that from happening...

No worries mate. They can build bigger ones. From the website:

It doesn't run on salt water, it runs on a electrolyte that has to be charged just like a battery.

What you would have is a tank at your house full of the liquid, when your car needs a charge, the spent liquid is pumped out and the charged liquid is pumped in.

It's just like changing out a spent battery for a new one, but instead of having to unbolt a bulky battery that could weight hundreds of pounds, the liquid inside is just exchanged.

You still need to charge the electrolyte with AC power from your house.

It's cool technology since it solves the charge time issue of electric cars, but it sure as shit does not run on salt water.

if they built one of them and sold electricity to the grid for $0.20 per kilowatt hour, that machine would make $10/hour! $240/day! $1680/week! $87600/year!

sure your water bill would go up. but how much water would you need?

Stanley Meyer died suddenly on March 20, 1998 after dining at a restaurant. His brother claimed that during a meeting with two Belgian investors in a restaurant, Meyer suddenly ran outside, saying "They poisoned me".[1] After an investigation, the Grove City police went with the Franklin County coroner report that ruled that Meyer, who had high blood pressure, died of a cerebral aneurysm.[1] Meyer's supporters continued to claim that he was assassinated in order to suppress his inventions.[1][2][1

His inventions do seem extremely suspect, however, it's also very suspect that all the people who claim to invent such things and begin to gather investors and garner media attention end up suffering unexpected death under unusual circumstances.

Here is a noisy old diesel generator. It costs about $20,000 for 50 kVA. How much is GDS's 50kVA model?

"Cummins INDUSTRIAL DUTY 24HR RUN TIME
Cummins Industrial Diesel Powered coupled to a Stamford A/C Brushless Alternator, Anti-vibration mounts, fully bunded 24 hour fuel tank base with skid ends, fully metered control panel with shutdown protection suitable for remote start. Main circuit breaker, sound attenuated weatherproof enclosure with centre lift.

46kva $19,800"

here is the bio of the CEO of Magdrive:

"...MagDrive FuelfromH2o was founded January of 2004 by CEO/Engineer Jim Cornell with the introduction of the first MagDrive Hydrogen Generator Series 8. Jim started his work in developing and perfecting the hydrogen generator as early as 2002 with the Series 1 model, but he went public after the Series 8 when it was proven safe enough to be used by the general public.

Jim's Military background of inertial guidance systems, nuke arming chains, missile peripherals and making things glow in the daylight or night made it a lot easier to accomplish the quality product we have today, Jim also held several patents of inventions used in the past, such as Solar heating panels and others.

During July of 2008 MagDrive celebrated its 8,000th unit being shipped, a great accomplishment that summed up over 130 Million pounds of emission reduction of CO2 gases and over 100,000 barrels of oil that America did not have to import from unfriendly foreign nations...."

And with a special adaptor(or proprietary hose of course) he could just hook his garden hose to it and set and forget it. But every 3 months he would have to follow the "maintenance policy". What is that policy you might ask? Here it is right from the website:

"IS THERE ANY MAINTENANCE POLICY?
Yes every 3 months drain water tank and spray with garden hose."

 Quoting: Voiper

Dear Voiper Sir,

Good day and compliments. This letter will definitely come to you as a huge surprise, but I implore you to take the time to go through it carefully as the decision you make will go off a long way to determine the future and continued existence of the entire members of my family.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. (Mrs.) Mariam Abacha, the wife of the late head of state and commander in chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria who died on the 8th of June 1998.

My ordeal started immediately after my husband's death on the morning of 8th June 1998, and the subsequent take over of government by the last administration. The present democratic government is determined to portray all the good work of my late husband in a bad light and have gone as far as confiscating all my late husband's assets, properties, freezing our accounts both within and outside Nigeria. As I am writing this letter to you, my son Mohammed Abacha is undergoing questioning with the government. All these measures taken by past/present government is just to gain international recognition.

I and the entire members of my family have been held incommunicado since the death of my husband, hence I seek your indulgence to assist us in securing these funds. We are not allowed to see or discuss with anybody. Few occasions I have tired traveling abroad through alternative means all failed.

It is in view of this I have mandated DR GALADIMA HASSAN, who has been assisting the family to run around on so many issues to act on behalf of the family concerning the substance of this letter. He has the full power of attorney to execute this transaction with you.

My late husband had/has Eighty Million USD ($80,000,000.00) specially preserved and well packed in trunk boxes of which only my husband and I knew about. It is packed in such a way to forestall just anybody having access to it. It is this sum that I seek your assistance to get out of Nigeria as soon as possible before the present civilian government finds out about it and confiscate it just like they have done to all our assets.

I implore you to please give consideration to my predicament and help a widow in need.

May Allah show you mercy as you do so?

Your faithfully,

Dr (Mrs.) Mariam Abacha (M.O.N)

N/B: Please contact Dr Galadima Hassan on this website for further briefing and modalities
