As long as you're just a man you would not even know it or be able to pronounce it. Maybe you think(are programmed) you do, but you don't. The directed purpose of intention is a whole different story. But that's just not for the masses. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64558043 The Commandment widely translated as "Do not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain," is imprecisely translated. The original Hebrew literally reads, "Do not carry the name of the Lord thy God in vain." And, the Commandment continues, "for God will not hold guiltless (literally, "will not cleanse") whoever carries His name in vain." [link to www.freerepublic.com] "Do not take the Lord your God’s name in vain" is how the King James Version translates what Jews call the third commandment (Jews and Christians number the Ten Commandments somewhat differently). This translation is understandable, but it is a serious mistranslation. Literally translated, what the commandment states is: "Do not carry [or “lift”] the Lord your God’s name in vain." Seems a simple and logical understanding of the words and meaning of the text. I don't think one of the primary intentions of this Commandment is that you not say "Oh my God"... but instead we'll allow "gosh"... |

Just working something out here myself in my own concentrated momentary focus while hoping someone else sees something in it also. Men using the things of God to praise themselves has been a frequent refrain of mine in discussions lately, and some of the pieces just came together a little more clearly.. |

For example, God said he'll pour out his anger. So does that mean, he's going to pour anger, like water? No Therefore, the translation of the transliteration, may at times be more accurate. |

Think of all the people that call themselves religious but use it as a covering to act like they are perfect. |

"god dammit" is simply asking for god's assistance in stopping the normal progression of a problem you are challenged by ... it reveals your dependence upon god to do things for you - that you are perfectly capable of doing yourself - which is why god ignores these proclamation - and ignores these weak demands from his slaves ... you are more likely to get results by using Jesus' name ... who told us, that "doing unto others, as you would have them do unto you" is in keeping with all laws (even god's commandments) being aware, that god, does NOT - "do unto others, as he would have them do unto him" reveals, his ignorance of Our Creator and purpose for creating this Solar System god's "kingdom" is limited to the realms of the human mind - in the third dimension ... all we need to do is move on to another dimension where deception can not exist - while still "in the body" like Jesus suggested we do, when he said "follow me" Last Edited by Sunny Daze on 06/20/2016 03:29 PM |
