Okay after FORCING myself to slog through 9 pages of comments, each and every one of them I'm going to stop here and toss my hat in the ring.

The construction worker analogy is outdated. I know I work in construction, and I can assure you that we are usually before every job given a thorough training on what constitutes sexual harassment or harassment period, and 99.9% on this video would qualify from a legal perspective. Even eyeballing improperly is grounds.

That being said, 99.9% of the MEN that I work with wouldn't even think about doing the kind of crap seen in the video. When a woman is on the job or anywhere near, most of the guys either completely avoid or do or say anything. We know what is at stake. Plus most the guys are married.

We had a situation on the last job where a lower level female employee was harassed on the job, blatantly. They shut the entire 300 man job down, brought every worker except the accuser into the break room, and addressed the situation. Holy fuck, when they got done talking, there were enough pissed off dudes of substantial size to tear whoever did it into ribbons. They insisted she come in and identify the person and they would take it from there. She declined to do as such and the matter was dropped.

But the message was loud and clear. Women are safer on any job I've ever worked than on the street. Don't mean we ain't looking, don't mean we ain't talking though. Just not around them. Ever. It just doesn't happen.

But getting to this girl, the overwhelming consensus on this thread is she is fair to middling, she dressed semi provocatively etc. I say "So what?". Her dress and appearance are not an invitation to anything, its just how she is. Pregnant women face this all the time, questions about the baby questions about the due date comments on her appearance, none of which was asked for, none of which is warranted. So its kinda the same thing.

That being said, women have to live in the real world, if you try to imitate the latest pop star or actress in your dress you are going to get attention you don't want, assuming you don't want it.

But these fucktards in the video probably haven't been laid in forever so they figure "what I got to lose?".

But this girl doing this video is obviously jonesing for attention and publicity, if you had read the comments she is listed as an aspiring actress. Well there you have it. Troll for hits on the street, some creative editing and voila, put me on CNN. Ask me how I feel.

Seriously though, women have an inherent fundamental right to not have to listen to all that stupidity. It never got anyone laid. If it did she was probably a whore to begin with.

None of them can fathom having to listen to men beg for attention over and over- instead they expect her to just accept it and say "thank you" 10 times a day because those guys are "being nice". Screw that. That has to get annoying, no wonder she is desensitized to it.

Well said. And her motives for making the video are irrelevant. They have no bearing on the propriety of the behavior revealed in the video. If she gets publicity for this, I say "Good" - because she had the guts to do this and show the behavior women can be exposed to.

Unfortunately, the style nowadays for women is to dress sexy. It's pushed by women dressing like that on sitcoms, etc. However, maybe men need to start looking at women as not, I'd hit that, but as a human being deserving to be treated with respect. Then, since most men are too dense to determine signals, or mixed signals, maybe if you get beyond that and relate to a woman as a being with a soul, maybe you'd get a lot farther in getting to know a woman. Stop blaming women for "mixed signals". A woman has a right to walk down the street dressed however she wants, without being harassed.

Maybe you need to get your brains out of your pants for a while and try to smarten up. Most men just look at women as someone to have sex with, and nothing else.

I've got a news flash for you! Women are not put on this earth for your pleasure. We actually are human beings with a right to exist independent of whether or not you APPROVE of what we look like.
