24 hurt as Amtrak train, semi collide

REYNOLDS — Not many people tangle with a train and survive unscathed, making Jeffrey Hatfield the luckiest unfortunate man in Indiana on Tuesday.

His semi truck's cab and half of his trailer filled with powdered cement safely crossed the railroad tracks just east of U.S. 421 on White County Road 200 North. The rest of the trailer wasn't so lucky.
