It is all a test to see how we will react to people refusing to be quarantined and how citizens will agree with forced quarantine for others. The people on here have failed miserably!

I do agree with this statement (in ref to the airport) "I saw complete disorganization. I saw no leadership, and if you’re going to put a policy like that in place, that impedes on my civil rights, then you need to have the administrative details worked out before you start detaining me in an airport for no reason."


Yes, there was a reason (elevated temp) however, as seen with over zealous TSA agents, there really needs to be something more concrete, and not fly-by-night.

After she and her story has been all over the TV and THEN she becomes full blown ebola stricken people will DEMAND forced quarantine.

All I see her mentioning is policy. Quite silly she is making this about civil liberty and policy. When she arrive at the Newark airport her temperature was 101. Self righteous doesn't want to be in quarantine.

Did anyone notice the part that doctors without borders have policy in place that if they develop symptoms(after theyve already flown home and been out and about) then go in and best tested?

So much for voluntary quarantine. Time to enforce it.

I expect her to be admitted to the hospital with full blown ebola within 2 weeks.

After she spreads the virus all over to hundreds of innocent people.

She never had an elevated temperature, there is no record of that. She never showed any symptoms

She is a nurse. She was in an ebola-stricken country.

She should have self-quarantined for the sake of her family and anyone else she may come into contact with. It's called common sense and self-responsibility.

The TSA is a separate issue.

The reason we have an over-zealous TSA is due to Americans' lack of this common sense and personal responsibility. We are submissive to agencies like the TSA when we just want to fly, ignoring the fact that they are clearly stomping all over our rights with their procedures; yet, we throw a hissy fit if we get detained after coming from a country ravaged by an epidemic. Funny how we do nothing until something directly affects us individually (and only during a logical quarantine measure).

If people would stop crying out for government every second of the day and letting them run our lives, we would be able to fly in peace, and government agencies would only be needed to infringe on *some* rights during events like epidemics in order to protect the country - which are actually legitimate infringes. It actually wouldn't even be an "infringement" if this nurse would do her job and self-quarantine.

She went over there willingly. She should have expected to face quarantine. I'm not even a nurse and I would expect it. Apparently nurses these days lack basic fundamental logic - I would hate to know where the nurses in the ER have been and who they have been in contact with before treating other patients, since it's obvious they are empty of logic, ethics, and morality.

Right. Up until she gets to deal with law enforcement via a court order. Or the governor/adjutant general goes full-tilt and plops the National Guard outside her door.

Think about it. She whines about forced quarantine, and then everyone BEGS for forced quarantine.

Then we have what we begged for. Forced quarantine of low risk, non-infected people...

And that in spades. Because we begged for it.
