J.J. Abrams should do a TV reboot of quantum leap

Jon Hamm as Sam.

David Duchovny as Al.

Hamm is too much of a "pretty boy my sh*t don't stink" type.

...and Duchovny is just WRONG to play Al.

Best to give new actors with NO ATTITUDES a chance.
Using any from the existing pool of egomanics would be a sin.

That was the beauty of Scott Bakula....his modesty played well and no attitude as an actor.
You would need someone like that again.

I blame it on the government TV agenda.
The Whitehouse is pushing certain types of shows.

Wait until a-hole and his Marxist minions are out of office and it will change.

There's an idea too....reboot the original actors.

Since it's a show about time it would be EASY to write that storyline in.

Just to undo the shitty ending...

If you don't remember quantum leap did not get a new season so they just turned a end of season episode into a end of show...


they just added text at the end saying he never got back to his own time...

No way. Nobody can top Scott and Dean's performances on that show. I love all the crazy outfits Al wore in the series. No doubt they'd make the character gay if they brought the series back and that really wouldn't be as fun since Al was a skirt chaser. :D

I would like to maybe see a reunion with Scott and Dean. Are they up to it? Is Dean okay health wise?

They had a bunch of great episodes.
Hard to pick one....but that one was up there.
I watch the reruns....still haven't seen them all I think.

There are sooooooooooooooooo many directions you could go with a Quantum Leap v2.0.

So much science has evolved since then.

J.J. Abrams should stop doing tv and movies, he suck.
He is given good ideas like Revolution that could be some really good stuff and manages to make it into shit.

Or like his spacemonster movie with the evil alien and all the kids being all "wow what a cool alien we must help it" after it murders loads of people in their town.

Abrams is a moran. Kick him out.

I really liked the episode where Sam jumped into a soap opera actor and the woman ends up kidnapping him and has him chained to the bed.
