Suffice to say it's a cross between Coen brothers and Tarantino, but better because it has unknown, really really good actors and feels very real. It's on Netflix - I watched it last night and was riveted throughout. See it, if you don't like it, come back and we can argue :) |

Perfectly captures the essence of loneliness, isolation and infidelity through the perspective of an emotionally battered private eye who has been hired to relocate a washed-up actress's runaway daughter (Melanie Griffith) |

This is about a handyman who is beloved by all until he is severely disfigured rescuing a child, after which the townspoeple turn upon him to the point that they are ready for violence. Very sad and heartrending movie. Received mostly GREAT reviews, but cannot even find it now on DVD. |

It means, "a subtle difference in or shade of meaning, expression, or sound." When the OP says "you've never heard of" he is talking about films that made it into the mainstream movie discussion. If you are going to read and post on an English-speaking website, you really need to improve your understanding of the language. |
