Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64740199 It will go back up plus some after the election. No. Not true. Elections are rigged, campaigns are pointless other than a media stunt. Why would they care about gas prices, if they know they will win anyone? wake up |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 50115627 United States 11/03/2014 05:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Do we think a bailout might be in store for American oil companies? Some of these companies are too big to fail, not to mention the multi-directional trickle effect when large numbers of small oil companies go under. We'll most likely see some form of subsidization in the future if prices continue to decline. Big oil's collapse would send shock-waves through the American economy(globally as well), putting us right back to '08-'09 levels, if not beyond. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25839443 they get a constant bailout via subsidies from the feds and the states. |

I don't doubt they'll ask for help, and some pols will try to give it to them, but most people will be outraged, and say so. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 64740199 damn it Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~ Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~ Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~ Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~ “When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Financiers are without patriotism and without decency.” If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain. Winston Churchill |

I think that most of the people in the US government have stock in OPEC or something. I notice this practice all the time." [link to answers.yahoo.com (secure)] You can look years ago online that it sure seems to be around election when Fuel goes down, must just be by chance??? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 29940555 United States 11/03/2014 05:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Cost of oil goes down 25% but price at the pump goes down half of that. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4456483 Interesting double standards that the rich have. Obviously ISIS taking over the major oil reserves of Iraq and them now producing millions of barrels of oil a day is helping rather than hurting the price at the pumps. How convenient for ISIS and the Democrats! I think your toatally well partially wrong. Yes it benefits the rich. But high gas prices are to contol inflation and prices of other goods. The higher the price the less you have in your pocket right ? You can't increase prices because you have less money to spend. |

I think most civilized countries pay between 6 and 8 per gallon. We're not doing too bad even at the prices I mentioned. yeah countries with little or no resources. Look at the cawk on that dawg Education is a process, not a result |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 670461 United States 11/03/2014 05:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No!! Saudi Arabians fight about oil export with the US!! OPEC is dumping the price to make fracking to costly And what we should do is unleash our strategic petroleum reserve to US refineries and at the same time ban imports from OPEC and drive the price of brent crude to $5/ barrel. ... Watch the middle east fucking implode. Unleash just enough oil to stabilize a price for US producers. I give it a week. |

The higher the price the less you have in your pocket right ? You can't increase prices because you have less money to spend. Had to fix it. I think your totally, well partially wrong. Yes, it benefits the rich but, high gas prices are to contol inflation and prices of other goods. The higher the price the less you have in your pocket right ? You cant create any inflation because you have less to spend, save and invest. You can't increase prices because you have less money to spend. Combine that with money printed by electronic means and the price controls of the futures markets, with that printed money and you have what we have now, a totally currupt system. |
