NASA and JPL want you to see it that is why they made all these images public.

The youtube video is not looking at a NASA produced image, it is this image from a company that is selling gigapan like images.

That image was assembled from the images taken by the Curiosity mastcam on sol 72, here they all are in their original form.

Not all the images overlap enough to make a clean panorama, particularly this image

These two images make up the "UFO", just parts of the Curiosity rover which are out of focus in the foreground.

Possible wreckage of the ship that lowered the rovers down to the Mars suface.
They basically just flew off and crashed after their job was done.
