bleach User ID: 71715 Australia 07/27/2006 02:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Check the drain pipe is free of any crap. If not use a coat hanger/wire and hose/pressure hose to clean it out. Put some neat bleach on a cloth and wipe all the sides - use rubber gloves. Close the lid for 2 hours. This keeps all the fumes within the freezer and keeps the bleach active. 2 hours later open freezer in WELL VENTILATED area. 1 hour later wipe sides with cloth soaked in fresh water. Dry sides with clean cloth. Turn freezer back on. |

What worked for us was to put charcoal (old fashioned kind, no lighter fluid) and let it sit as well as one of those odor absorbing gels. I used that for about a month and then washed with bleach water. It is fine now. |
