He doesn't live in the US any more, in fact, he's lived overseas (predominately in Southeast Asia) for most of the last 25 years (he hasn't had a 'permanent' US address since 1988).

We communicate often -- mostly via email, and approx. 10-20% of the time via phone -- today, was one of those phone calls, and what he told me still has my wife and I stunned...

In a nutshell...World War 3 is underway, and has been since early May of this year. I'll 'bullet' the highlights, and major undertakings which not only WILL occur, but also actions which have already occured, or are currently underway:

~ There is intense air and ground action, involving US (and other 'Allied') troops vs Russian AND Chinese troops, occuring NOW in Ukraine.

~ There HAVE BEEN (initiated in June of this year) and WILL BE MORE US and South Korean airstrikes -- and qute possibly ground action -- against North Korea.

~ Russian subs have been spotted since June of this year along MUCH of the coast of Western Europe.

~ 2 Russian subs were DESTROYED by the US Navy as they approached HAWAII (just under 3 weeks ago).

~ Russian fighter jets are frequently spotted over Israeli air space.

There's more, including other close-calls with Russia near Japan, and the strong possibility that a draft will become imminent.

I'm having a difficult time digesting this and what this means for the world. My wife and I have 2 daughters (ages 8 and 4), and we just bought our home -- what in the hell are we supposed to do??

I'm not sure if knowing that the world we now know is about to change DRASTICALLY in the very near future is something even worth knowing...
