We've probably got 6-8 inches here so far. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62050202 About 14 inches or so now. From my vantage point I get to watch many people that are probably driving in snow for the first time in their life. Some are way too cautious, driving like 5mph, some are oblivious and driving like it's a warm summer day. It's interesting. |

Bit rainy in the winter but you can't beat the summers. Don't remember every hearing of "vortexes" before last year. Seems like a lot of cold upper atmosphere air crashing down to ground level lately. This one covers a huge area. Midwest people are tough and can handle it. |

And he blessed it cuz it was good for his bank. When the money slowed from the warming he changed the name to climate change. but it was too late the people could see it for what it was. A Normal Earth Cycle that can not be stopped and they stopped COINING to the Church of climate change and prayed for the GLOBAL WARMING TO RETURN! |

Snow-covered roads were reported as far east as northwest Wisconsin Monday morning, including the Twin Cities metro area Monday morning. Quoting: Goofy for God [link to www.weather.com] GLPers are you getting hit yet yes, its a minor winter storm... maybe an inch is expected with some freezing drizzle, nothing to doom about. this seems to happen about the same time every year, so dramatic and surprising. |

Quoting: American Indian Elder 65019803 A cheery wood fire in the woodstove and venison stew bubbling on its top. No need to go outside, Im on "indian Time'' so Im at the computer. Looking past it out the window, fluffy white snow falling around the birch trees and on the evergreens, making a living Christmas card. I put out food for the critters so they wont suffer in the zero wind chill. Wind up radio, flashlites, candles, wood, extra food all ready to sit around and toast marshmallows and reminise. No climate change(although I pray for global warming, it isnt bad for everyone)Just the usual tough U.P. winters we know and love. Burn twice the calories when you exercise in the cold...germs flies and mosquitos die off, our cells hibernate and we look much younger than our age. Love it here. Enjoy it while you can my friend |

Any Minnesotans on here remember Halloween '91? Yep. The Twins won the World Series in 7 games on October 27th, and the storm was already looming. 4 days later, slammed with 28 inches of snow. They never really got it cleared, and the roads were terrible all winter with ruts all over the place. I lived in an apartment on Lake Street for years, and the plows could not keep up, even major arteries and snow emergency routes were completely shut down. From the glory of a World Series win to the biggest snowstorm in Twin Cities history 4 days later. Crazy. We've only had 3" here in South Minneapolis today, but the cutoff line is dramatic, North of the metro is getting pounded. |
