Wichita, Who felt that strong tremor?

My husband felt it in downtown Tulsa, OK where he works - just called a few mins ago. Didn't feel it here, SW of Tulsa.

These tremors keep increasing in intensity and frequency, just a couple of days ago there was a science cafe night at a local donut shop, the topic of discussion was human induced earthquakes.

The aquifer is low and collapsing

5.4 20 miles NW of wellington, KS

I felt it, my chair was rocking slightly.

I want real estate developers to begin making eq secure house$.

It was felt in 7 states, seismic event monitors will be deployed in SC Kansas - kake.

Felt tremors in dfw....reports are coming in.

I heard Larry say that same thing - wondering what they know that we don't. On a side note what a great story for Larry to get to cover in his last few weeks of his career. He really is an icon.

Anyone in Kansas right one felt another quake just now?

I felt it in goddard. Lasted about 20 seconds. I heard it before I felt it. But my dogs started barking before I knew what was up. I'm about 55 miles north of the epicenter.

Actually woke me up. The bed was really moving!

Has anyone reported damage?

I felt it in Okmulgee (30min s. of Tulsa). It felt really eerie, slow wobble or swaying motion. It lasted for quite a while, probably 20-30 seconds.

Earthquake Insurance anyone?

Everyone yells it will be California or the New Madrid getting the big one.
Going to be other areas like Kansas and Oklahoma and Nevada,etc.Places where small ones happen but never big ones.
Many caught off guard.

Damage reports coming in include bricks falling off of buildings, cracks in buildings, and homes moved off of foundations. There are also reports of some gas leaks. The majority of the damage was in Milan, KS.

I was driving and didnt feel it but my mom called me in a panic over it

I am about 20 miles from the epicenter. It was strong and violently shook my home. All you could do was hold on...it felt like a boat getting ready to capsize.

It knocked items off of shelves, off of my kitchen counters and off the top of our fridge. I also had a stack of boxes against the wall and it knocked the top one off and dumped it's contents on the floor. Our computer monitors, laptops and tv's shook for at least a full minute and I had a table that continued to shake for a least a minute after that.

My kids were terrified and my pets were acting strange. It really caught us off guard. We feel quakes often (years ago I never would've believed I'd ever FEEL a quake here) from just South of us, or over the border in OK. This was the strongest we've felt yet.
