Quoting: R. Wordsworth No one is going to quit the Navy because of a threat that was already there when they joined. And the Navy did not "admit that the crew was demoralized". Think about it for a minute, does that sound like something that the Government would say? Stop spreading propaganda... You're like the guy who doesn't like what he's hearing, so he covers his ears and chants "Lalalalalalala, I'm not listening!". He's right. No military or government, even if it's true, EVER admits demoralization, fear of an enemy, etc. A good poker face is a crucial part of global politics. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is, back up your bullshit and show us where the Navy ACTUALLY officially admitted this, rather than just hearsay. |

Nice to see someone else has some working brain cells. I'm sorry that I have not written to you for a week. I was taking a course of psychological rehabilitation at our base in Romania. I must tell you that a terrible thing has happened. And not just with me, but with the whole of our valiant crew of the destroyer "Donald Cook". Our destroyer armed with the best systems to defeat an enemy, there is no such aircraft, missiles or submarines, which we could not intercept. Our system "Aegis" can even shoot down ballistic missiles. Best sailors only can serve on this ship, who are brave and despise death, like buffalos of Arizona. So, my darling, when our "Donald Cook" entered the Black Sea to raise high the flag of freedom and democracy, our captain called us to the deck and said a speech, ‘Guys, our mission is of particular importance – we have to demonstrate fearlessness of America before unbelted Russian bear. You all know that the Russian took away half of the territory of a democratic Ukraine as Crimea and prepare to chop off its second half. It threatens our national interests, because we can not allow someone to chop off that we can chop off ourselves. Anonymous Coward User ID: 65099124 Thailand 11/13/2014 06:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Khibiny jammer is fairly new. The Khibiny jammer is a high power jammer. KNIRTI Khibiny M Electronic Warfare Self Protection suite including the L175V jammer, an infrared MAWS system of undisclosed type, a threat warning and RF surveillance receiver of an unspecified type, and countermeasures dispensers. That is, it is an electronic countermeasure system designed to jam phased array tracking systems so that they cannot lock on to targets. Simple physics tells us that it would take a huge amount of EMF (which the Khibiny doesn't do anyway) to knock out an entire ship's electrical systems, and that would take a HUGE amount of energy storage that could never be lifted by this aircraft. Anyway, it's common knowledge that Khibiny was designed for the SU-35, not the SU-24 cited in this "article". And "the State Department acknowledged". Really? Where is the link? This would be all over the news if State announced this. But if this event did happen as described, you can bet that nobody, especially State, would be making public acknowledgements. What a load of crap, but there are still GLP suckers who apparently swallow it. |

Its unfortunate that the player pieces on one side of the board are play checkers while the other is playing Chess, because Checkmate is near from the checker player. What is humorously on a light note, is that the game is still going to be drawn out, even though the games are of different rule sets. It makes no difference to a Master what game is being played on the board, even dice. I think I the one sides Queen move out, and already the other player is falling for a Gambit. |

The Ruskies understand both non-nuclear EMP and bio-weaponry far better than us crazy Mericans. Bullshit. We invented it, and like every other weapon on the planet, the American version is best. We've been able to produce pulses of over 300,000v per squar meter, the first time we created EMP (by accident) it created a field strenght of over 50,000 volts per meter. The Russikis have never had anything they did not steal, from the Bear bombers to Migs. It would take millions of volyts per square meter to have any effect on shielded equipment, it would make the ships crew sick if it happened, and would destroy the plane carrying it. Which is why an EMP weapon is always carried by drone. So, I call BULLSHIT. SQUARED |

Non nuclear EMP requires a conventional explosive as the source of chemical energy to convert into electromagnetic energy. There was no mention of an explosion in any of the reports about this incident. And if it was an EMP, the systems would not just turn back on afterwords, they would be destroyed. Oh wait, they wouldn't, because ships as well as most military hardware are hardened agains EMPs. |
