Haven't followed this recent development but Russia originally said it was an SU25 - I would have guessed a MIG for personal reasons - people saying this is fake even tho Russia is taking it mainstream - if no one is denouncing or disproving this - assuming it is fake - it means they know Russia has more stuff for show and tell and they are not provoking Russia into saying anything else - why?

It's just a television station stunt. There is nothing from the Kremlin.

From what I remember the US satellite that detected the launch was an infrared system designed to detect ballistic missiles.

It may not necessarily have images, at least not regular photographs. It may very well be more like a radar screen.

Either way you would think they would be able to release something... obviously this event was recorded.

The most interesting point about this titbit to me is - it says that Russia downloaded the images from US satellite.

Like - wow.


Can they download off all the US satellites?

If so - then they can read all the emails and access all the phone convos too - so they know EVERYTHING.

In any case, the main point here that is obvious to everyone is that the USA cannot prove or provide proof of missile launches. It cannot determine the time, the size or type of rocket used and also its space capacity to monitor is a joke. Nothing remotely convincing has been provided. nothing. Only words.

Just like NH370, it is becoming more and more obvious the USA is not as technologically advanced as many claim. Forget blackbudget capabilities, they cannot even come up with a radar tracking map if half their naval fleet is stationed off the coast of Ukraine. Who believes this shit anymore. I don't. I am sure the Russians don't and the Chinese are thinking: Fuck if that's all they can do we are likely in a better position than we thought.

Each time a major event like this happens we see that in fact the USA does not have any notable or useful capabilities to monitor from space.

So what does this mean who is responsible for this

They are just a television station. Not a serious news agency.

What they put out lacks any authority, it's more like gutter press.
That doesn't mean the pics are not authentic. It means we won't be able to make any meaningful judgement as to whether there is, or is not, any authenticity, until and unless there is some kind of official announcement.
Not just aired TV programmes from nobodies.

If that picture is real, please don't lose sight of the most important part of this; the innocent, unaware people that were murdered on that flight.

It's what I suspected from the start but that picture makes me sick to my stomach.

Unlikely to be a hack.
Much more likely to be a human collaborator. A mole on the inside perhaps giving away the encryption keys. Like Edward Snowden was.
It's well known that all the routers on the internet backbone (well at least the Cisco ones and that's most of them) all have backdoors. It would be amazing if they had not been leaked by a human on the inside.
Satellite security more depends on the enemy not being able to read the narrow beamwidth uplink. Rather than unable to read the downlink.

If they release anything they needlessly take the risk that it will be proven to be a fake.

THIS! I was pointing out earlier that why would russia release anything which was fake and could be debunked. But not many seem to consider this question

those pictures were released back then but this time I hope they go very very public... Russia did not shoot down that plane.. the US of A did.. using planes painted like Ukraine planes.. which flew from Romania I think it was.
