People always use Hitler to decry socialism, but they forget the UK. We were socialist from 1945 until Thatcher and it was the only time Britain was truly Great - world-class healthcare, free education, full employment, social housing, decent rights, fair wages.

Then we became capitalists - sold all our social housing, sent our production overseas, starved our healthcare and education systems, sold off utilities and transport, deregulated banks.

When I was a kid under socialist Britain, my Dad, could afford to support a family of six with no government subsidies through his job in a local factory. Now there are no factories and even if you did find one a 40 hour week @ minimum wage would barely support a single person, let alone a family.
