Minnesota here. I haven't gotten sick yet (Fingers crossed , And prayers said).

Get a big ol' bottle of Vitamin D, B Complex 100, Selenium, Vitamin K2, Iodine (Nascent not povidone), And C Silver.

I got sick once in July, It was a virulent bastard. I knocked it down in four days. It would have been sooner, But I got ignorant, And I waited a day.

No flu shot here. And I get a 'bug' maybe once a year.
Head and chest congestion. .. coughing and headache. No fever or aches. Going on three weeks now.

same up here in Ontario..its a chest and sinus...started with my 16 daughter,people out shopping wuth it..I have had it for 4 weeks now won't go away tylenol is making a fortune off of me right now..everyone I work with has it, those had the flu shot and those that did not

I for one will never take the flu shot...

The current cold virus aroud quebec is nasty. Im finishing that cold and I must say.. im glad. I rarely get sick.

I'm not going to see a doctor. I assume they are pretty busy with Ebola panic and I don't want to waste their time, or potentially come into contact with someone who actually has Ebola. I live in Rochester, MN and it is the home of the Mayo Clinic, so I'm pretty sure at some point they will be sending Ebola cases here.

Cold virus, sinus infection, cough going on third week now, no let up

And that was after Septembers puking my guts out stomach bug.

I am now getting over a serious respiratory infection - if I had not gone to the doctor to get real antibiotics, he said I may not have made it. My blood oxygen was down to 81%! Felt like I was slowly dying.
I'd see a respectable doctor if you can find one, OP. Go to an independent one - not the ones that work in group systems - they seem to be more fraudulent.

I make garlic bread all the time. Does that count?

I buy a loaf of french bread, butter it, add some garlic powder and garlic salt.

Probably, a bit different than straight garlic.

Just got over a hell of a virus here.

It knocked me down - bedridden - for four days. After that I was still very sick but able to schlup around the house to bathe, and stuff food in my face occasionally, but barely able to do anything besides sit and stare at the wall. Saturday was the first day I was not actually "sick" but doing anything at all wore me completely out. I had a 90 minute class to attend on Saturday night that I'd been looking forward to for a month... we basically sat and listened to a lecture... but by the time I got home I was DONE, completely worn out. Sunday was a bit better, I did manage to shovel up a few small pile of leaves in the front yard, and run an errand, but by the time I got home I was so bushed that I had to sit down on the couch, and after sitting down, became so tired that I fell asleep for about two hours (not normal for me).

Today I am back at my desk working. I am functional but I do notice that even walking in from the parking lot I am still not back up to par in terms of energy.

Tons of vitamins, OJ, and cold meds as needed. It all seemed to help very little, there certainly was no "magic bullet" that made a definite improvement.

I am definitely skinny.... 6'1'' 165lbs

Please try whole food vitamins to up your immune defense.
