The insider GOP establishment wants this amnesty. Even though most are here to live off taxpayers it will give them a reason/excuse to hold down or lower wages while taxes go up to pay for their benefits.

Once they can vote they will vote themselves more benefits. Easy peasy.

the conservative side of the GOP will make a fuss, but accomplish little. The easy response is defunding of liberal pet projects like HUD and eventaully a full governemnt shut down. The GOP will have the numbers to do this.
