Esoterica (OP) User ID: 55079802  United States11/22/2014 08:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Interesting think to note my sisters husband and I ran into Ferguson protesters last night in hays Kansas they where driving to Denver to help coordinate we had to get a tire repaired at the Walmart in Hays Kansas. While waiting a van full of individuals of African decent and some who looked Hispanic possibly middle eastern came in to get the tire on the tire on their van fixed. Right before checking out I spoke with one at the counter, He asked us to donate to the cause by paying for his tire we refused, He stated they were with a "Disciples of Justice" group heading to Denver from St. Louis to help coordinate. We thought they were a church group at first based on how they where dressed, like youth choir almost (Black jacket, black pants) there where about 8 of them not sure the exact number as we where shopping for thanksgiving dinner at the time and they where scattered around the store as well. News organizations routinely prepare different versions of big stories that they know will pop soon, especially binary-event situations like this one. They either indict or don't indict. All newsrooms have coverage roadmaps in place, with quick announcements saved and ready. As another poster said, someone hit "publish" instead of "save." I've spent over 25 years in newsrooms. Being right matters little, but being the FIRST to break the story... that's the cat's meow. We've seen these incidents in the past where a story written gets placed in a public folder, instead of a private folder, and it always causes confusion and conspiracy theories. There's nothing to it. Someone made a simple mistake. |
