Does it seem metallic and/or homemade, possibly?

Necklace ?

Better question.

Why does the casing look old ?

If it were freshly spent cartridge(hot), why did the layers of wax on the floor not suffer from the heat?

Something fishy about the photo, but I don't think it's the necklace.

So there couldn't have been a real patsy.

Just pretend like everything else about this hoax.

But why does that think look familiar? Is it supposed to look like barbed wire--some kind of goth (or whatever) bracelet maybe?

It could be from anybody running down that hall of course; doesn't have to belong to a shooter.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find the 5.56s were old and planted.

Or are those two forked ends really just where one link was stressed and broken?

That would have to be neck-size not wrist-sized, don't you think?

Is that a little-kid type necklace then or--I guess we need to figure out the circumference.

Sure and how far it bounced and rolled.

I've seen casings start fires.

I have also seen them stick too rhino lining.

I don't think they were using any thermal wax in that school.

It was closed do to asbestos in 2008.

Here's the closet I can get so far--too much barbed wire, but the general design is there.

I'd say a boy's/man's rather than a girl's. And I'd guess teenager more than little kid.

I really don't think "Adam Lanza" was the twisted-metal-neck-choker type of guy. From the way he's described--averse to touch or whatever--I wouldn't pick him for a jewelry-wearer any more than I'd pick him for the lone gunman.

The necklace being broken would indicate a struggle of some type, no?

Re: Sandy Hook: What is this item next to the shell casing?
One coverup scenario I've always thought possible is 1-3 young teenagers--high school or even middle school. Trying to be the next Columbine. If there was an officer-involved shooting related to some 14 year old (one officer described a "blond 12 year old") that would be pretty drastic and a no-brainer as far as scrambling to cover it up.

I no longer buy the 100% slaughter rate; the more you read, the more you realize many of these victims didn't have obviously-fatal wounds. So the shooter/shooters don't have to be an Israeli assassin team or anything of that nature to have been responsible for such a high death rate.

Having a really hard time finding anything like it. It's almost like some kid wanted to make a barbed wire necklace, and maybe someone told them they could but without the barbs--using the round bead clamps/spacers(?) instead.

Still looks a little homemade to me.

Re: Sandy Hook: What is this item next to the shell casing?
Just totally eyeballing it, it looks like the necklace is about 7 x that of the 5.56 casing.

A NATO 5.56 casing is 47.12 mm x 7 = 329.84 mm = 12.985 inches.

So about 13 inches in diameter for what now appears to likely be a necklace/choker necklace. I'd say by the style, more likely to be a choker than not, but maybe jewelry people can weigh in. I also think it looks like male rather than female jewelry, but again...

"In the United States, the average neck size for women is 13.5 inches and for men, 19.5 inches. The average waist circumference for women is 37.5 inches and the average for men is 39.7 inches."

[link to healthyliving.azcentral.com]

Anyway, there's nothing I can see in the dimensions and style so far, then, that rules it out as belonging to a middle/high school aged male. I also realize this is all just loose guessing for now.

Does anybody recall anything in the official reports regarding a struggle of any kind inside the school that could result in the ripping off of a necklace/choker?

Re: Sandy Hook: What is this item next to the shell casing?
There is nothing barb wire like to it.
Its busted on the opposute of the closing mechanism making that part look like sharp wire but it isnt.
Its busted right were someone would grab and pull it down on the chest.
Looks like a normal gold(or fake) necklace you can buy almost everywhere.

The shell fits almost 12 times into the necklace length.
It isnt a chocker and could fit a woman or a child.

The whole thing doesnt make much sense as it would break in most cases where the closing is on the neck if pulled away from the owner.

Any normal investigation would have checked it for dna.
