My sincere condolences OP, I lot a job I really liked that I'd had for 12 years when this recession hit my company in '08 and they had to close the doors. Tried looking for skilled work when you're in your late fifties? Thank heavens I was able to hang in and pick up a couple filler jobs until I could officially retire.

Probably and most likely too fat for the job. You competed agais them and lost.


Proceed with life and apply at your closest McDonald's.

Obvious troll is obvious. They're moving my position to corp in another state. I don't want to relocate.

What state did they move it to? A state with more wualfied workers I'd assume.

Read right here on this forum yesterday that people on welfare average $15/hour ... that's about 30k/year. Enjoy.

Very sorry to hear it, OP. Do your best to ignore the trolls and assholes that are so messed in the head that they like nothing better than to "pile on" when someone is down.

Crappy time of year for this to happen to boot.

If I could offer a thought it would be to start filing applications sooner rather than later. You want to be able to tell a prospective employer you hit the bricks within two/three days of losing the last job rather than "I decided to take a few months off before I started looking."

Just a thought.

I work in Healthcare Technology.
