What would happen if everyone stopped watching TV for a month?

Do you think a societal shift is possible? I do.

Many "ideas" are installed in our minds via television viewing. We eventually think these ideas are our own, but they're not. If everyone were to stop watching this brainwashing device for just a month, I feel there would be a noticeable change in the way man interacts with his fellow man. The controllers know this..but do we?

With television prices falling year after year and viewing options (cable, satellite, Netflix, etc) increasing by the minute, breaking away from this device seems more and more difficult.

It has gotten to the point where I'm unable to watch TV unless I do so critically..watching only to see what nonsense and lies they are spreading via sitcoms, news and movies.
