It's more likely China will hurt Russia more if they did anything to affect that. Putin can cry all he wants, his country is now dominated by the super powers. The growing threats against the USA will just force China's hand against Putin. None of China's economic dependence on the USA will matter if they can usurp the petrodollar and replace it with something they control. This would allow them the same prosperity the US has enjoyed and they'd be in the cat bird seat. Exactly, what they lose is more than replaced by their investment in the new currency.
