No math tards here?
keep the equations brief.
No over-the-top shit.

Repeating numbers and such.

Re: Anyone have, know or want to do some cool mathematical equations?
the 4 Ordinalities { 165 , 166, 167, 168 } in Pi locate the 73rd triangular number, 2701

2701 can be written as ( 666 + 666 + 666 + 703 )

However, the Ordinalities of the digits in Pi also

{ 165 + 166 = 167 + 168 } = 666

There are 4 Ordinalities

165th digit = 2
166th digit = 7
166th digit = 0
168th digit = 1

4 / square root of Phi = 3.14...

This is also the mathematical value of the first verse in the Bible

2701

I challenge anybody to find anything else in Pi like that

Re: Anyone have, know or want to do some cool mathematical equations?
off to bed, so this is my last post of the day.

a German math whiz (Reimann or Gauss) was in a rowdy classroom as a boy.

the teacher thought he would quiet them down by giving them a very difficult task that would take a long time -

adding all the numbers from 1 to 100.

as in: 1+2+3+4 and so on.

our math whiz had the correct answer in seconds.

He simply wrote the pairs - 100+1 = 101

99+2 = 101

98+3 = 101

there are 50 such pairs.

50 x 101 = 5,050.

Re: Anyone have, know or want to do some cool mathematical equations?
Ok, here's something neat you can use to detect fraud

Benford's law

If you took something like a page from a business ledger, and took all numbers ( terms ) from the page and grouped them according to what integer they start with, for all numbers 1-9

You'll find that they follow a specific distribution

You can do the same thing with the front page of a newspaper and all the terms from all the articles

They all follow the same distribution

So, you can be assured that if you analyzed your business ledger, and all amounts didn't confirm to this distribution, somebody is cooking the books

Same thing with terms from a newspaper and the numbers in the stories

If they don't match the normal distribution, it's likely the numbers from the stories are cooked
