Big people don't wait

This is where we are these days. So my husband and I were taking a little break from our shopping and thought we would get something to eat and maybe a beer. We decide on the closest place near us, walk in and it's a bit of a wait at 7:15 I won't say the name but it rhymes with snapple trees. There are maybe 3 groups ahead of us and we were told it would take about 10 minutes ..... No worries we say. We will wait.

In walks a large family and they push their way throug the groups of people patiently waiting. I didn't know they were large nor did I pay attention until I heard a man say "it's pretty crowded and no place at the bar, is there? And hungry mama says no.,,,, oh wait, yes right there!! She points to a table that has just been cleaned and set and she matches through the bar right to the table with hungry daddy and kids following.

My husband looks at me and I at him and I ask; "was there someone saving a seat for them?" Nope

We discuss for a second if this truly happened because we can't believe it ! I mean they walked right pass the wait to be seated sign. The poor host was some young guy who was trying to run this packed restaraunt with many hungry people waiting. My husband said to the host " can we seat ourselves now?

The host calls the busboy over to tell him and expects the busboy to take care of it.

Nobody did. Big hungry family was seated served and satisfied there hungry bellys before they deserved it. I wanted so much to pray bad luck on them.

All my husband could say was. This is what they set breeding and raising. The hungry big overly big kids will learn to do. Big people don't wait. What would you have done?
