He's just bluffing, upping the ante or outright lying right? I think that Varoufakis quote is from his Bloomberg interview and it's taken out of context, he was basically saying "Like going to war, we're not thinking about defeat." No, I meant the statement which I underlined (sorry, wasn't very clear) about the printing presses. That's just rhetoric! Unless he knows the outcome already. I was hoping he and Tsipras were for real and would "pull an Iceland", but the more I follow this ongoing charade the less evidence I see of this. That may happen if he finds money outside EU. There are signs indicating it is possible. Depend on developments in the next 2-3 days I guess... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69660745 They can't kick them out of the Euro. Yet Greece will face hell staying in the euro zone. If they leave, as hard as it gets, they still have a chance. I think Tsipras is for real on this one and, either way, he already won. IMF gave him credibility and opened a terrible precedent. Let's see what's next on the road. Cheers, Draco |

I'm sure they could and would eventually, if that is the plan. There is no precedent for them leaving either the eurozone or the EU, but they would legislate and pull rules out of hats as they went along. |

Saddletramp User ID: 68373023 United States 07/02/2015 06:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Saddle what you think is more important? the possible grexit or the Chinese stock crash? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69645197 Well they keep saying that the Stock Market in China is not really connected to the Chinese Economy, and it's fair to believe that all stock markets are divorced from reality right now. However I think it shows an underlying problem of massive bubbles in China, huge unsustainable bubbles in Credit, Equity Markets, and Real Estate... China's correction will have a major impact on the world economy. Greece by itself wouldn't do much to the world economy (as we've seen so far), BUT all of that changes if they call the Greek Debt and the Derivative Markets come into play. China has the chance to slow the world economy to a crawl, Greece with it's derivative mess has the chance to melt down the world economy...
