I can remember, as a kiddo in the 70's hearing Roger Daltrey belt out "aw, who the fuck are you?" on my local rock radio that played only "album rock", meaning they always played the LP version of any song, no edits, etc. Quoting: Fret Wiz They used to do a special every Sun where they'd play 6 albums uncut. I think they called it the Sunday Night Sixpack. Times have changed. Now we are PC to a fault, honesty is shunned and we all have two personalities now - public and private. We never negotiated with terrorists before this year, and we made a horrible (5 for 1) deal for the ghost that we knew as Berghdal...now we're just caving to threats. Expect this to propagate - television, music, ALL media. The new norm is approaching. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 2975163 United States 12/18/2014 09:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution does not apply. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution merely prevents government agents from suppressing political speech. An example is that the county sheriff cannot arrest you because you are running against him in the election. Or the Congress cannot ban a political party. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution does not protect private speech. Examples of private speech are you calling your boss a vulgar name on television. You cannot cite the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and expect it to provide any legal protection. Another example of private speech is a movie about a foreign government that generates threats from that government which motivate the producers to cancel the movie's distribution. Even though the threats by the foreign government might be illegal under international law, the movie's producers have no legally protected claims arising from the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The regime in question is lawless anyway, so it is difficult to imagine any legal redress against it in any forum. |

I would simply add that Sony is run by pussies. Distribute it, doesn't mean I heve to go watch it. Last Edited by Dances With Fire on 12/18/2014 09:15 AM Free speech is never free. Well I know it wasn't you who held me down Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains And we never even know we have the key - Eagles |
