I started smoking pot before I both began smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol which eventually led to gambling.

So yes, pot for me was a gateway to cigarettes and alcohol and legalized gambling.

As a fifty year old male who just used it for the first time this year I can tell you it is the most powerful drug I have ever taken in My life. Even more powerful than the opiates i received in the hospital in an Iv.

With that being said, If i were to get cancer it would be my drug of choice, not morphine..

On the other hand I can see it being a problem in the fact that when I used it. I got so high, I couldn't get up off of the couch for over 4 hours and was stoned for almost 6 hours

where morphine only last an hour..

as far as it being addictive and what it does to you long term I do not know.

Dope was a gateway drug for me, because most of the dealers I went to also offered speed and coke. Then once you get a taste for experimental drugs, you try all sorts of uppers and downers and combinations. One weekend I did seven different drugs at the same time, and it all started with cannabis.

I never got the gateway drug argument. Of course it's logical to use the least intense substance first. How many people do you know who blow coke or do heroin as their first drug. People use have tried drugs tend to have higher IQs than those who don't. Where is that statistic in your data?

52 years old, smoking regular since my teens. Successful , lots of energy,straight (not homophobic) nice normal person. and its the only drug i use as a stimulant. 1 beer a day, and smoked a pack of cigs. a day till 15 years ago when i finally quit, thats the real drug…..and its legal.lol

And you blame marijuana for this or do you blame yourself? Because anyone blaming marijuana for "getting them into" other drugs is just making excuses. People need to take more personal responsibility. Blaming weed isn't going to solve anything.

Really? How about no one has ever died from a cannabis over dose...how about you have cannaboid receptors in your brain...how about it is an herb. No one gets high and kills other people behind the wheel. Also as a cannabis intaker I will say I have never done any other "drug" I dont even take big pharma pills for a headache....but I bet you do and see no problem in it.
