Perhaps you've never had the pleasure of a dog's loyalty?

Great story. Glad they could help the dog.

To the whiners, you don't understand RP technology... the whole point is that you are NOT spending money on tooling. The costs are essentially the plastic itself, the machine run-time, and a skilled designer.

Lighten up. This stuff is becoming cheaper and better, even as you sniff in your whine goblet about the un-washed masses helping their pets.

The dog looked very happy. Two of mine are asleep at my feet right now. I'm sure they would approve if they were not snoring off a good meal.

I hate dog prosthetics.

Please, give your defective dogs to the starving, so they can eat dog.

Please, when children are dying of cancer, do not spend so much money on a dog.

Please, when farmers are starving in the fields from drought in California, do not invest in hi-tech dog prosthesis.

Please, when you have millions of human babies aborted and used in science, consider sacrificing your mutated dog to the better good of animal health and welfare instead of encouraging dysfunction.

Besides, those dog shoes aren't so great.

Spend your money elsewhere.

I hate videos like this when so many humans are suffering on earth today.

Fuck You.

I chose not to have children and I'll spend whatever the fuck I want on my dog. Last year I probably spent close to $5,000 on my dog for tumor removal and meds.

Go eat a dick.

They most likely already had the 3d printing stuff, couldnt have taken very long to do it. Its just a side benefit of the 3d printing thing and learning what stuff you can do with it, so they learned some more about 3d printing and could help a dog, it was two benefits in one.

yeah I thought that too. Maybe a redesign is in the works or maybe there is some reason that prevents it.

But a more natural sizing would seem to be better.

Many of you have pointed out that Derby's prosthetics seem too low. We started this way to give him a chance to get used to his new legs. But with 3D printing it's easy to iterate design, so he is being fitted with progressively longer legs until he reaches his optimal height. Work is ongoing and we are about to 3D print the 4th version of his prosthetics.
