I don't think people act so different rather they feel more open to express ideas. Well, there are those though that do enjoy drama and will say any stupid thing to get attention, weather they believe themselves or not. This is just a place to enjoy freedom without ramification.

Most of the things i see posted here i'd never hear in real life in a million years, is it because they all have a computer screen to hide behind?

I bet i'll even get called names in this thread.

The sheer lack of consequences for people's actions are one of the driving forces behind it. That enables people to let their inner sociopaths run free.

Yes this but, it doesn't mean people are "different" on the internet. They are exactly the same in person, they're just not showing you. The people you meet on the internet are just like the people you meet and pass by in person everyday.

Kindof spooky, isn't it.

It is spooky, the internet person is probably the real one, the drunk internet person even "realer".

You will only reveal that in real life if you get very close to someone, work through the rows and arguments and stick together, then you may "see their arse" so to speak. Shortcut... get pissed with them a few times.

The internet gives us a safety window through which we may expose ourselves without consequence. and without spreading disease.afroafroafro

Of course in public most are reserved, for self preservation sake.

Yeah.

Lately I've been marveling at the fact that hundreds of millions of people "follow the rules." In this case, it's the "social rule." But it does make for a kind of safe living place, no? You can go out and buy your loaf of bread... usually without worrying about being mugged or killed. What a paradise. And yet so... creepy.
