A friend of mine worked at the Swedish state telephone company so he used to hook into the phone calls of people and prank them by starting speaking and butting into the phone calls and stuff like that. Teutony User ID: 65959349 Romania 12/19/2014 05:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | SS7 is a protocol, that has been developed for the Land switching lines, in order that a call initiated in a PLMN (exchange) to be routed to the desired number, located in other PLMN, which could be in different company or other country and continent. Then the same protocol has been "updated" for using also into the Mobile networks and we all know that those networks were created with different spying features: like for direct tapping in the Mobile Switching Centers, which can be done only by knowing and direct order from officialism and you need to have probes, there physical in the operator building, but this SS7 is a surreptitious and occult way, to get "meta" data w/o the express knowledge of the operator, because the SS7 signalling is passing by the operator perimeter and even countries borders. |

Different people get different numbers. Disinformation goes out on one sometimes, if I feel someone is or might snoop. It is easy to call back and give correct info on another phone line...and to keep email messages going with the disinfo, once you explain to people they understand. This subterfuge is more about keeping individuals out of your personal data vs. Feds...bc they have other means of finding out info anyway. idk if the article mentions spoofing or not, but I have a mad case of that going on right now. People with different voices claiming to be from terminix stating I need to give out updated credit card data. I called the main terminix number and the account is square. This is a ploy to find out my real name and other data and I am pretty sure of the source. Received another phone call today asking for another name. Bitch assed amateurs ain't finding out shit...they think they are slick, they have no idea the rabbit hole they are down. My privacy is my privacy for a reason. Period. Feds know and anyone who would ever be part of my family, other than that hell to the no. btw - not being paranoid. There are witnesses to these things and such things as my "public" disinfo line being called from it's own number. What would you think if your caller ID shows an incoming call coming from your own mobile number? My IP never shows where I am either. This is thankfully by design. Ever wonder if someone can hack your On-Star? Sure can! They can activate the microphone and eaves drop in your car. Even turn on the speaker and talk back to you. GPS locations as well. If it is electronic, communicates and is networked...it is hackable. Last Edited by -Adam- on 12/19/2014 07:42 AM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 65996071 United Kingdom 12/19/2014 08:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just want to note that all phone calls have ALWAYS been accessible to 'secret' monitoring. It was a part of my job some 40+ years ago and as easy as flicking one switch. Seems to me that the reason why you don't hear about it is not that the gvt was covering it up, it was that this technology was so very everyday/commonplace that no one considered it of any interest to talk about. Anyway, I learned very early that absolutely no communication system is private. Not even 'secure lines'. So, someone or some recording technology listening in hears that you're having an affair, defrauding your company, avoiding taxes or suffering from bi polar disorder...? If the current system were all that good or even interested then there would be massively more prosecutions. It's the old Stasi 10% thing: the East German security services struggled to keep an eye on less than 10% of the population - but the hype about their systems ensured that everyone lived in fear. Which is what the Stasi wanted. With respect, we're freaking ourselves out unnecessarily: I honestly think that there are many other things that we need to be paying attention to. |

A cell phone is a full duplex walkie talkie. Remember walkie talkies? We designed the cell phone to transmit simultaneously in both directions unlike a walkie talkie where you had to "Push to talk" Knowing all along that it would resemble a telephone and the consumer would think of it as such. Now that we understand that it is a walkie talkie or two way radio disguised by a different name, Do you really think anything you say over a portable radio is private??? Security??
