Laughing and Clapping As Police Assassinated - What have we have become

This reminds me a bit of a bully that I had when I was a child. I was in the third grade or so...

One day the boy, Shane, tried to force me to kiss a girl maria. Actually pushing us together. That was all just childish antics, but I told him to stop, since for whatever reason Maria was freaking out, and nearly in tears. (I was a bit offended at the time, but now my guess is that she was sexually abused, and reacting to that, not my Quasimodo good looks...)

At any rate, I asked him to stop, since what he was doing was wrong. He ignored me.

I told him to stop. He ignored me.

I told him to stop, or else I would have to stop him, and it would hurt. He ignored me yet again.

Then I grabbed him, picked him up off the ground and forced him face down onto the dirt, and made him kiss it.

Years later, I met up with him, and he acted very indignant, looked at me and pointed a finger.

"Your a bully!" he screamed a bit shrilly.

I went over everything with him, but he had no ability to understand that he was simply receiving the fruit of his own actions. He made a hundred excuses in his own mind, and just couldn't see that he and he alone had set things up to happen as they did.

Now I see a similar pattern developing here.

The Police take liberties with the rights of citizens, getting away without being punished, over and over again. They are all warned, over and over, but then when someone finally turns the tables a little bit, they cry and moan, about how wronged they are.

The thing is, Shane was traumatized enough that he got the idea and never bullied anyone else again. Can the Police learn form this and do the same?

We know they won't. That will simply lead to things becoming much worse in the long run too.

You reap what you sow, and they have spread the seeds of discord for decades. They really shouldn't get to act wronged when the trees fall on them, given that.
