I know I would like to live 200 years to see the future. If God created us, why such a short life span?

Why on earth would you want this torture to continue any longer then 70 plus years? Are you kidding me?

Its generally god believers who can't wait for the world to end so they can go to their imaginary heaven.

Non believers generally love life because its the only one they believe they will have (generally).

Most religions are death cults, because they focus on the time during being dead as the main part of life. Instead, if people on a large scale shifted their focus away from religion and onto life and the real natural existence, and try to understand it and make the best of it, we would soon be able to live 200, 500, 1000+ years.

In general, that is a lie spread by the media. I've met very few Christians who actually hope the end is near. The Christians I know are told to live their lives and not worry about 'the end' because no one knows when that will be. It could be tomorrow or it could be many years from now. We are told that we should keep working to make the world a better place and not cop out by quitting and waiting for the end.

Thats generalizing, a bit.
Its not so much they can't wait for it to end but rather can't wait for it to get better.
A lot of misery out there. A lot of work for the next generation coming.
I believe we live for the next generation rather than ourselves.

OP:

Humans used to live roughly 1,000 years.

However, they used this extended life time to sin and do even greater wrong than we can dream of - the end result being that the creator was so grieved he needed to start again.

This short life span is a blessing, I enjoy living - I enjoy walking among the fields (I live in the bush) and hearing the birds and the wind.

However, I hate what we humans have done. Most of it (not all) is bad.

The sooner it ends, the better.

It's because our life on earth is our probation period!

We're all potentially given 70 to 80 Years to prepare ourselves to be a full member of the Lord's heavenly Kingdom or not!

Every day of our lives we're all making choices, through all the things we do and say, good or bad,to prepare for a life in the Lord's Kingdom, or for a life [which is spiritual death] outside of it in hell!

Thread: Billions are choosing hell over heaven, according to how they've lived on earth!

Thread: THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
 Quoting: INTHELORDSNAME

What is the point of your God existing? He couldn't have just always been there, something must have created him. But then something must have created that thing as well. And the thing that created that thing, etc.

If nothing created him, why would he exist? What did he do before he created us?
 Quoting: Nachos

God has always existed from eternity past, and will always exist forever!

For a very brief period of 33 Years, God/Yahweh/the Father/ Jehovah, clothed Himself in human flesh, has the Lord Jesus Christ, for the purpose of saving all His followers from sin.

This is to enable them, through the indwelling presence of His Holy Spirit, to become full members of His heavenly Kingdom, which rules over all the Worlds in the Universe!

For they are His creation, and He created them all to be inhabited and ruled over by those in His heavenly Kingdom!

"...we understand that the Universe was created through a spoken word of God, so that what is seen did not come into being out of existing phenomena." [Heb.11:3]

"Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God." [Psalm 90:2]

"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting!" [Psalm 106:48]

"Are You not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my Holy One?" [Habakkuk 1:12]

Loving God is a Divine command given to the entire human race, it's not a request!

All those who have reverence for God choose to humbly obey Him!

While the rebellious and wicked choose to ignore and disobey Him, and will therefore suffer the consequences of their wrong choice!

"...I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments...I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days..." These things are easily understood by those who are receptive to the Spirit of Christ, that's why we,

All those who have reverence for God choose to humbly obey Him!

While the rebellious and wicked choose to ignore and disobey Him, and will therefore suffer the consequences of their wrong choice!

"...I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments...I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days..." You believe a god has just always existed..? But we used to not exist..?

So where was he before we were created? What did he do for infinite before he created us?

Are you that simple minded?

nachos are you the garden variety atheist or do you have a background in science and physics?

Our minds cannot fully comprehend the notion of an eternal being. We are like 2D people living in a 3D world. There are some things we can't see and even if we saw them we might not understand.

the mystics and the old old texts speak of God so great that he cannot be processed by our finite mind and understanding

he is sooo great that he appears to be invisible so he is known as the great nothing ness because he is too great our minds cannot grasp him

God is all that is good and all that is righteous. God existed always because he existed before time, time is a human concept, not something in eternity basically our concepts are finite not His.

That is just an invalid excuse.

There are levels of math and science that you and I will probably never fully understand yet that does not make them untrue.

You don't generally believe in absurd claims unless someone can back them up with evidence. You don't believe unicorns or leprechauns are real do you?

"...I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments...I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days..." well I think thats the problem, a lot of smart ass comments from people who really know nothing about science yet they base their ideas and principles on what scientists say not knowing really what they are talking about
just because you are pissed at God doesn't mean he doesn't exist

Our lifetime is but a cosmic minute, think about that!

Stars 13B light years away are in view to us, think about that!

You can't tell me there isn't a hell of a lot in between!
