Has anyone ever heard of smelling the scent of roses while praying?

Yes! But not while praying. There is a book I have about the teachings of Jesus and whenever I read from it, the room begins to smell like roses.

It's strange too, because I don't attend church and I don't pray every night. I don't even subscribe to a particular religion, yet I like that book because the way it's written fills me with peace. And the roses are an added plus!

I probably wouldn't qualify as a Christian as I believe Jesus did not want to be worshiped. I believe he wanted to teach us to be like him and that we can do the things he can do. Yet I've had an out-of-body experience in which I met with him and we talked like old friends. He also told me to 'save myself' that night in a very vivid way.

So, to me the roses are associated with Jesus. Maybe your mom recieved an answer from him.

I've been wondering about whether she got healed yesterday. The church has prayed for her several times about her medical problems. I'm wondering if God decided to heal her and he answered her by letting her smell this scent of roses. She said it was very strange because she was the only one that smelled it. So maybe you are right and this was her answer.

She also quit smoking about 1 1/2 months ago. The have been praying for her to be delivered from the cravings. I thought at first that she had been delivered. But, she still craves them so that wasn't what it was.

It just dawned on me while typing this...Maybe since she quit smoking, God healed her of her medical problems and this was his way of letting her know.??

Yes, I smell roses when--simultaneously--I sense the thoughts of SOMEONE NEARBY reminding me to be compassionate, patient or forebearing.

It's an angel, come to see her. It's a sign that her prayers are being received.

This is wonderful!!! I have never experienced the smell of roses. I feel like I've been missing out! I'm going to have to start paying closer attention.

I can't wait to call Mom and tell her. She will be so happy that it has happened to other people. I'm really beginning to think that it was a sign of her healing.

Yes I have a friend who has passed on now. He said this had happened to him in a Pentecostal church also.

He said he could smell the Presence of God as He walked by.

Forgive me for being uneducated about the Blessed Mother. I guess I just associated her with ONLY catholic beliefs.

She has been suffering with so many problems for so long...Fibromyalgia, heart disease, congestive heart failure, diabetes, skin cancer, arthritis, neuropathy. She is only 61 years old. This all started when she was 41.

The Fibromyalgia is the worst. She is in so much pain that she sometimes calls me crying. It breaks my heart. I live 2000 miles away so all I can do is pray for her and cry with her.

I am so anxious now to see if she is healed!
