Anonymous Coward User ID: 61015562 United States 12/24/2014 01:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Me personally I'm in a 12 month aftercare program as part of my probation which I plan on graduating from in July. I'll finish my IOP drug classes in January so at that point I'll be finding a better paying job and start knocking out my probation fees. I'd like to have at least half of what I owe paid off by July so I can get my probation moved to another county. Quoting: 3.3.3 My heart will always be in a tiny, quiet town called Matagorda here in Texas right on the Gulf Coast. My mom, aunt and little brother live there so I'm going to move back home, get a part time job and finish my degree so eventually I can get a job teaching overseas. Not quite sure what country I'd like to go to but between now and then I'm going to figure all that out so I can learn the language and make any necessary preparations to get to where I want to be. 2014 has been an amazing year for me, I've learned so much and come so far from where I used to be. I'm grateful for everything, both good and bad, that has shaped and crafted me into the man I am now. I only know that 2015 has many more blessings in store. I just wanted to make this post to see what ya'll have planned for this upcoming year and to maybe share a little bit of this inspiration I'm feeling. Happy Holidays, GLP. I wish you the very best of Luck and prosperity OP. Perhaps your hardships and achievements in overcoming them will put you in a position to eventually help others. |

3.3.3 (OP) User ID: 66243844 United States 12/24/2014 01:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can do it! I just realized I wasted far too many years of my life being a negative, rotten, sad and sorry bastard. Life really isn't that bad and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Can't take myself too seriously either for that matter. I hope you have brighter days ahead, friend. Very ambitious! Best of luck to you on that endeavor! It's actually a little more ambitious than that but I'm not the only one with the vision. We've been talking about providing our own free non potable water source for our little neighborhood as well as clearing and planting some ancient farming terraces deep up valley. “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. ajk User ID: 16885189 United States 12/24/2014 02:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For me, move south and start the next chapter of my life after being here the first 27. It's time, and the way the latter half of 2014 has played out.....a lot seems to be pointing that way for several reasons......really could be the beginning of another life for me, one fully defined by me and me alone, no family holding me back anymore, and no holding myself back either. I'm with you too on the negative thing......I spent 7 years or better focusing on the end of the world as we know it, and we're still here, meantime my life suffered for it. No more. The end may come this year it may not, but I can't control that. All I can do is control my life in the end.....so that's my main focus now, controlling what I have the power to vs. worrying about what I can't. It's not bad to be aware but gotta balance that with living your life, otherwise you'll drive yourself nuts, become depressed and before you know it your life and any dreams you had pass you by. I don't want anymore regrets. If something happens I'll deal with it, but otherwise.....my life, my future, and where I want to go with it is where the bulk of my attention will go hereafter. Time is too precious, life itself is....to do anything else. Best of luck on your endeavors this year, and to anyone else here who has posted or is reading this with theirs, may we all get where wish to be. No one is perfect. A babe before walking will first stumble and fall many times but NEVER gives up until he succeeds. Always remember, ultimately, to never follow any person's belief. Your relationship with God is between you and God. If nothing else, remember this: religion = subservience, control and conformity, the same template as EVERY government "Most believers would kill truth if truth threatened their religion." L. K. Washburn "This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves." Robert Ingersoll "If anyone wants to know how God feels, it's a warm light as if the sun is poking through dark clouds and lifting your spirits with pure joy." |

As for me I plan to stop wasting so much money and to be debt free by July.I lost most everything 3 years ago and have accomplished a lot and I need to do more.Been keeping a record of my spending and it is crazy the money I waste.Never would have believed it had I not made a decision to start writing it down. I do think times will get harder before they get better but we have to start somewhere. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 66319561 United Kingdom 12/24/2014 03:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My plans for 2015 are: For my partner and I to get better jobs closer to home, we currently drive around 3 hours a day, which is exhausting, I did that when I was 20, now looking at 50 it is too much.. 2015/2016 - Start my own business with my partner, we want a small shop selling craft goods a few mins walk from our home. Get the garden sorted... we only just moved here, and the garden is mud.. now I know why my ancestors had like the Inuit and snow a stupid number of words to say "mud" so some drainage, and plant out a nice veggie patch, country walk area around the oaks and beeches, and a chill out area for the summer.. and a billion other jobs I want complete so this house feels like home.... But mostly all our plans revolve around getting our lives back as all we do is work for pennies that just cover the bare minimum and we worked it out, that we would gain a month a year if we worked closer as that is what we waste travelling.. I really hope you all get your wishes for 2015, and that you too are able to reach the stars and grab your goals.. Merry Christmas to all.. and best wishes for the new year.. |
