I really hope she gets better. Pancreatitis is very painful in humans which may explain why she was shaking so much.

Awww Alpacalips, I'm so sorry... They ARE our babies, and some just don't understand.

thanks! my dog is not desperately ill, but has been sick for so long I really can't remember quite when it started.

She is resting comfortably tonight and will get homemade chicken bone broth along with her food.

The worst was on PENG's thread about her bird. Guess what? I have a bird, too.

There was hatred spewed all over that thread.

my bird is worth a dozen of those people who hate humans and animals.

St. Francis was noted for the fact that wild birds sought him out, to perch on his arms and shoulders.

In the New Testament, we are told to tell the Gospel to "every creature".

NOT every human, but every creature.



my Slavic family tradition says that on Christmas Eve, all animals receive the gift of speech.


not all humans can hear them, though.

it must be exhausting hating everything and everyone, people and animals that they don't even know, sad little people

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I go out and talk to mine at midnight, have ever since I was a little kid.

An old Jewish saying is that people who love animals do so with a pure love because they love freely, not expecting the animal to do much in return.

Animals will be in the new creation, God will give them all back to us, and we see this as the lion and the lamb feed peacefully together
