Somebody had control of it for sure. The camera had more than likely reached its limit to the far left, is why they couldn't get the perp in the whole frame.

Is that a motion sensor in the camera or would someone at the gas station have to be monitoring the situation to pan it so quickly??

It could have some movement tracking software but it could have also been monitored live because of how slow the tracking was.

Watch how the timestamp moves as the camera follows. If this were being done on the camera itself the timestamp would stay in the same place.

The video you are watching on Youtube is an edit that was zoomed in during post production to direct people as to what the uploader wanted them to pay attention to.

Ah....ok...makes sense. These gas stations don't usually have someone on site doing that. But maybe the owner was in the back office and saw the commotion.

Yeah you can't really see a gun, or at least i didn't....you just see his arm seem to raise. Hard to say for sure. But never a good idea to make quick movements like that when a cop has his weapon trained on you.

Not sure but considering the call was for larceny I wouldn't be surprised if someone was monitoring the camera at that point. I'm waiting to see if Antonio was involved in the larceny.

EDIT: Call was for larceny, so camera monitor makes sense.
