my husband works - and works hard. when he comes home his dinner is ready. his cloths are washed/folded or dry cleaned.
his vehicle is maintained, inspected, nu tires whatever. the house is clean, his boats are insured/tagged. the kids are minded and dont disturb him when hes sleeping. the bills are paid. he doesnt have to ask for anything as i anticipate his needs.

and he returns in kind. biweekly we go out to dinner - kid free.

ill never forget my bff from ny. we worked together at the PO. he worked hard, and took a 2nd job. his bitch wife was gettin tapped by a bag boy at pathmark where she worked PT as a cashier. when he found out, she filed for divorce. she took his 120k house, he was forced to keep payn the mtg on it - got support for the 4 girls - cuhnt took the car too. every time the PO gave us a raise, even if it was 20.00 she took him to court for a "raise"....he was left with nothing - we avg'd in the early 90s between 1000-1200 biweekly - and he would be left with approx 250-300 biweekly. couldnt afford to live anywhere. a PO coworker made a one room "apt" for him in his basement - he had to take on a 3rd job too. i got so fed up with how she was bleeding him dry - court after court - and his atty was a woman too - i found his wifes car in the courts parking lot, and took a nuclear shit in it.
