Hollow earth theories...never looked into it really, just curious if I should bother or play ostrich. .thoughts?

Seen some light reading about it...is it something that has been ruled stupid or quite possible? I think it's kind of interesting but ain't exactly planning a mission to the poles to find out..thoughts? Save the shills and name calling please..just wondering the basic theories behind it?
