Truth please. Does acupuncture truly work? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 56445559 United States 12/28/2014 07:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | acupuncture is AMAZING. I am a registered nurse for 34 years....I am so tired of watching people get hooked on opiates by "well meaning" physicians for anything from dental pain to back pain. I had a completely frozen shoulder. The orthopedist wanted to do surgery to release it. The acupuncturist said, in 3 months at 2 visits per week, I can fix this.... After 2 months I could raise and swing my arm again 360 degrees. It was completely covered by insurance. I continue to go once a week for over a year for overall well being, stress etc.... One time I had severe dental pain but couldn't get to my dentist until the following week. He did acupuncture for the dental pain and it WORKED! I swear by it... |

However look for this sign if the acupuncturist is good....he/she never uses more than 7 needles oat any given moment. Very seldom, in the beginning up to nine, for a short period of time. If more are used he/she is a "cookbook"acupuncturist. If you think a thread is important enough for others to read, go to page one and click on the green pin!!! |

I'm hoping it'll work and I can figure out a way to afford the cost. Glad you're feeling better! Thanks again! |

Now I am thinking along your lines, to find a true, traditionally trained acupuncturist. This physiatrist is/will be reviewing my scans & X rays & physical therapist's notes. I wonder if they'll even look at me before they draw targets in which to jab a needle. Thanks for the wake up on researching more! |

This technique is darn near miraculous is the word. The picture/charts used to guide the needle placement seem very vague and sketchy. It looks like a miss of a mere quarter inch affects a whole different region of the nerve/body complex. Would need to be be even more exact on the foot sole. So how come there are no online stories like hers? Thousands of positive testimonials from all corners and not one issue? I would like to try another one, 'hair of the dog', but a better one but she is now quite cautious. The orig guy also advocated lasers or LED's. Any ideas? |

I really don't understand it but it works. He is Chinese....I love him. I hate Western medicine....it's a chop shop, or take a pill for that. That pill turns out to cause other illnesses.... for me, it's Vitamin therapy, acupuncture, chiropractors and massage....Good exercise (walk or run 20 miles per week and weight train 3 days a week) and of course good organic diet. Anonymous Coward User ID: 6891231 United States 12/28/2014 05:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This summer I was injured, long story. I've been through hell, and continue to be there (my physical body is). I have been in physical therapy since then, but I am in chronic pain (one I cannot escape at times). Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42079795 I do not take any pain meds, although I am offered them by doctors all the time but I refuse. I refuse because I do not want to mask what is broken & am trying to fix the problem. The next steps are either surgery, deep muscle/nerve injections of some pain blocking drug, or, believe it or not, the doctor says acupuncture. BUT, insurance will pay, in part, for all of the above, EXCEPT acupuncture. It will be a straight out-of-pocket expense (and not cheap). So, please, honestly--Does acupuncture work before I get stuck with the bills? Thank you! I've always had luck with accupuncture. If anything it will help you cope with pain you do have. May I suggest some foods for pain? They helped me a lot: Cinnamon Pineapple (canned is fine) If you take aspirin or have blood issue careful on the pineapple. Cinnamon can be bad for your liver if you take too much or polonged use. 5 to 10 days on and 10 days off. |

Feel the energy, the trust and the profissionalism. There is also Do-In, which is a technique in which you apply pressure on specific points using your own finger. The spots are the same used in acunpuncture as it works with the same energy field/tracks in your body. Be well Last Edited by 1908247 on 12/28/2014 05:51 PM Nus |
