I was researching the origins of the modern calender which date back to julious caesar, basically the father of the calender we all use today.

It's funny that we've used the same calender 2000 years, used the stars to guide our understanding of the passage of 'time' yet we believed the earth was flat, even though the sun and moon and all the stars were round shaped.

It's amazing that through the 70,000 years or so that humans have spread through the planet since the last big volcanic event that nearly had us go extinct, that there's at most 4000 years of recorded history, and that we hardly even know much about the last 250 years much less the last 5000+
