Have you been watching the charts? Yes, people have been saying it, and it would have, had the Fed not maniulated things. It no longer can. This year will be bad. I firmly believe that we are 2 months into a period that will break all hell lose within 4 months time. Normal deflationary depressions (which always prelude hyperinflation) normally run about 6 mnoths before circuits break down.

Currencies will tank, the US will be the last man standing, but this is the Weimar all over again. Some of you should be students of the Great Depression... and WHAT caused it, how the contagion was vectored, etc.

I could see how collapse like this could lead to a police state. Banks are all defunct, most businesses collapse and most people are just wanting to survive. I assume the government steps in to distribute food. Certainly it would be rashioned, but how would it work? Maybe everybody get a mark of some kind, like a bar code they can scan when you get your food allotment? Sound familiar anyone?
