Otherwise, consider buying an external hard drive to back up your less essential files and get them off your internal hard drive to free up space. Yurmahm Zahorr |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 66141257 United States 01/04/2015 10:01 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got the warning again. In addition to "close avg and firefox," it said it had to close "quick access." I am nontech. Thanks for the replies thus far. It has to be real simple for me, otherwise I am liable to by myself do real damage because I don't know protocol. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 66669941 Australia 01/04/2015 10:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I would say its your virtual memory. Try freeing up hard drive space by deleting some stuff. Windows has something called a paging file you can find this in control panel>system>advanced system settings>performance settings>Advanced>virtual memory. Here you can change the paging file size or at least see how much free space you need to free up on your drives. For example, My paging file size is roughly 6gb. This means there needs to be 6gb free on each hard drive for your computer to function properly. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 66141257 The windows pop-up said to close malwarebytes. If it hit malwarebytes, is it best to delete what I have and reload since I just had the fastest scan ever (10 minutes). Thanks to all who respond. . What you Need to do is a Hard power OFF or UN PLUG your computer then power it back up and let it boot. . |
