I just don't get it.
Pitbulls are screwed up. Most attacks on kids are by pitbulls. Those are not regular dogs...

Me and my husband were putting garage sales signs the other day. There was a overweight middle age woman walking a pitbull. He was really walking her.
Pitbull saw my husband with a sign and a hammer and started growling at him.
That woman tried to come the dog down, but he didn't seem to care what she had to say....She finally pulled him by the leash and walked away. He kept looking back. She had no clue what she was doing. We have a whole neighbourhood full of kids here, and I've seen 3 people in the vicinity with pitbulls. I also saw one pitbull running around loose several months ago.
I wish they had some kind of a law against that breed.

I have one and she's far from aggressive towards anything that's not in her food bowl. I also have a mix and she's never been anything but sweet. And you are wrong on the breed that is the most aggressive.
That honor goes to Chihuahua and sausage dogs.

Also whatever stat you're looking at for serious bites is a combination of Pits, Rottweilers, presa canarios. It's not just one specific breed. It also depends on how you raise them. Keeping them "intact" is a mistake... most agression comes from sex (pursuit of or marking ones territory).Ours are treated like the family, they are raised in a structured, loving manner, they are all fixed. The jack asses down the street trying to get his dog to bite other dogs... they are the problem. It's not the breed, it's the owner.
