It is a mistake of the ego to think that it can "create peace" in the external world.

A thank you bump for truth. Though each person has to want to calm their chaos. Peace through rules is not peace because it is not true transformation of the person, it is a lazy leaders way because transformation takes a while to accomplish. And sadly this world has had lazy leaders.

And for real peace my thought is that everyone has to grow past ego.

A la political or activist peace between two people or two groups will always relatively fail. It will always be a "patch" that may seem to work on a relative basis, but will not create true "peace" which happens naturally when inner peace is attained. I think I have known this for a while, but perhaps this is the first time I have put into words to contemplate.
