Oh yeah, I live about 50 miles from DC and we are getting hit hard from the city's overflow because land is so much cheaper here. However, the price has skyrocketed in the last couple years. We own a small farm (180 acres) outside Charles Town, WV and land is going for about $30-40,0000/acre. So far we've refused to sell our land and because of this we've been raped in the ass by imminent domain (the sewage treatment plant confiscated the land in order to expand) and also by housing developments popping up everywhere. Currently they are working on building 86 townhouses about 30 feet from our house because our neighbors just sold their land. Its fucking ridiculous.
